IWS660-CS is a general-purpose illuminance sensor that operates via USB connection. You can easily capture the ambient brightness in lux units onto your computer. Compatible with Windows/Linux.

Usage Instructions

Retrieve values using the "TD-USB" command-line program (compatible with Windows/Linux).

Example Execution

Connect the module to a PC and run TD-USB via terminal software (e.g., PowerShell or Command Prompt in Windows).

Here, "td-usb" is the command name, "iws660" is the product code, and "get" is the fixed string that indicates a value retrieval. If successful, one line containing a numerical value in lux units will be returned via standard output.

By redirecting or piping the TD-USB command output, you can log the data to a file or use it as input for another process, providing versatile usage options. For details on obtaining and using the TD-USB command, refer to the manual or TD-USB Command Guide.

Note: The legacy control command iws660ctl can still be downloaded via the link provided but will not receive further updates. For future development, please use td-usb.

Note: The IWS660-CS is compatible with the demo application "TD-AppKit" (Windows only), which allows graphing and data logging. It can be downloaded from the link below.
