IWS940, The "Muscle Link", is a development kit for creating applications utilizing electromyography (EMG).

Muscle Link includes a sensor device, TokyoDevices' IWS940, and electrodes enabling the development of devices responsive to arm and leg movements. Suitable for diverse fields like robotics, computer science, sports science, marketing, music, art, gaming, and education. This kit facilitates various applications in areas requiring movement-responsive technologies.

Muscle Link can acquire the strength of electromyography in real-time and as a continuous value. Depending on the placement of the electrodes, it captures the movements of various muscles such as the hand, fingers, and arm.

FAQ

Q: What is the "muscle electrical intensity" obtained from the IWS940 sensor?

A: It is a value corresponding to muscle strength, derived from unique methods of electromyographic waveform signal analysis. When the force is weak, the muscle electrical intensity will be a small value, and as the force increases, it will show a larger value. By using muscle electrical intensity, there is no need to develop programs for noise removal or signal analysis.

Q: Can the raw waveform of electromyography be obtained through the IWS940?

A: Yes, it is possible. Please create a program for serial communication by referring to the datasheet of the IWS940.
