The TDSN450 is an infrared proximity sensor that detects whether there is an object in front of the sensor. Control commands are provided for operation on Windows/Linux.

How to Use

Simply connect to a USB port to use.
Controlled using Tokyo Devices' standard control command "TD-USB".
A demo application "TD-AppKit" utilizing TD-USB is available (Windows only).

TD-USB Command excamples

Retrieve the current strength of infrared reflection on a scale from 0 to 1023.
> td-usb tdsn450 get
320 

Set the threshold to 300±10 and write it to the device.
> td-usb tdsn450 set THRESHOLD=300
> td-usb tdsn450 set HYSTERESIS=10
> td-usb tdsn450 save

When the value exceeds the threshold, output "1"; when it falls, output "0".
> td-usb tdsn450 listen --loop

The TD-USB command can be utilized by calling it as an external program from various programming languages. Due to its simple specifications, it can also be used from shell scripts. For more details, please refer to the datasheet.
