TDSN7400 is a USB temperature sensor that supports K-type thermocouples. It can measure temperatures in the range of -40 to 1200°C from Windows & Linux.
Features
- Equipped with Analog Devices' latest high-precision IC, "MAX31856." The standalone sensor's maximum measurement range is -40 to 1200°C (actual range may be limited by the probe's heat tolerance).
- The measurement section and USB section are electrically isolated, providing strong resistance to noise and allowing measurements of targets with differing voltage levels.
- Operates via USB connection (bus-powered), compatible with board PCs such as Raspberry Pi and Armadillo.
- One PC can control multiple devices, with the ability to connect dozens of units using a USB hub.
- Simple control commands compatible with Windows/Linux are provided, making integration into applications easy.
- The utility software "TD-AppKit" allows real-time graph display and data recording/export in CSV format (Windows only).
- Ideal for applications in industrial, research, and security fields.
- Provided as a small board module covered with resin.
- Designed in Japan. Mass production, customization, and support are available.
How to Use Control Commands
The standard control command "TD-USB" from Tokyo Devices is used.
To retrieve temperature:
> td-usb tdsn7400 get
31.21348 ← Temperature (°C) is returned.
To repeatedly retrieve values every 60 seconds:
> td-usb tdsn7400 get --loop=60000
25.32831
25.23313
25.48544
...
To record the output to a text file:
> td-usb tdsn7400 listen --loop > temperature.csv
To integrate with user applications, invoke TD-USB as an external command from your program. It can be used with Python, shell scripts, C#, and others. For more details, refer to the TD-USB documentation for integration examples.
Additionally, the demo application "TD-AppKit" allows for graphical display of data (TD-AppKit is Windows only).
