USB Backup Power, UPS, Protection for 5V Power Flicker/Interruption

Features

• Provides approximately 20 seconds of backup at a 500mA load and 10 seconds at 1A load.
• Ideal for protecting network devices and single-board computers from momentary power interruptions.
• Compatible with the 12V momentary power interruptions in automotive IoT devices (when combined with 12V to USB conversion).
• Backup signal can be extracted from the extended pins, allowing you to perform shutdown procedures when backup is detected.
• Utilizes EDLC (Electric Double Layer Capacitor or Supercapacitor) as the energy storage element, eliminating chemical degradation seen in batteries.
• Equipped with a cell balancing circuit to maximize capacitor capacity.

How to Use

1. Connect a USB power source such as a standard USB charger to the USB Power IN connector.
2. Connect a load device that operates on USB power to the USB Power OUT connector.
3. Wait for approximately 15 minutes until the energy storage is complete. The LED Indicator will light up, indicating a full charge in about 5 minutes.
4. To test a power outage, intentionally disconnect the power source from the USB Power IN connector. It will switch to supplying power from the energy storage element.
5. When reconnecting a USB power source to the USB Power IN connector during backup, the backup will automatically terminate.
