TDFA50507 is a 7-channel USB digital IO output board. 12/24V signals can be output to various devices with simple commands. With electrically isolation it has safety and noise resistance.
Features
- Compatible with both 12V and 24V voltage systems.
- Operates on bus power, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. (※)
- Recognized as a generic USB HID device, so no special drivers are required.
- Compatible with both Windows and Linux.
- The USB side and the output section are isolated, providing excellent safety and noise resistance.
- Each channel has an LED, making it easy to understand the status of the signal.
- Multiple modules can be connected to a single PC, allowing control of over 100 contacts.
- Also compatible with single-board computers like Raspberry Pi.
※ Only on the USB side. An external power source is required for the device.
Connection
The equivalent circuit of the output section is as shown in photo 2 (only 3 contacts are shown). Connect an external power source to the common plus and common minus terminals, and connect the negative side of the desired output target to each contact. Each contact is an open collector output. When a contact is turned ON from the USB side, the transistor is turned ON via the photocoupler.
Control Command
Use the simple command-line control command "TD-USB", which is available for both Windows and Linux.
Example:
% td-usb tdfa50507 set GPIO_STATUS=3
Where 3 in binary is 000011, meaning contact points 1 and 2 are turned on.
For more information, please see the instructions for using TD-USB at the link provided.
The demo application "TD-AppKit" allows you to change the status of each contact point from the screen (Windows only). You can download it from the link below.
Additional Requirements
- An external power source (12-24V) is required for the common terminal.
- An USB cable (USB Type-A to Mini-B) is necessary. Please refer to the related products mentioned below.
